· Takes 176 Indian students from Chennai to Tbilisi
To operate another charter from Kochi to Georgia tomorrow for 174 students

Bengaluru, NFAPost: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite airline, operated its maiden charter flight to Georgia flying 176 students from Chennai to Tbilisi. The airline will operate another charter flight to Georgia from Kochi tomorrow for 174 Indian students.
SpiceJet’s flight from Chennai departed at 04:10 am IST and will reach Tbilisi at 11:55 am (local time). The airline’s second charter flight is scheduled to depart from Kochi at 3:45 am IST tomorrow and reach Georgia at 11:55 am (local time) the same day.
SpiceJet Vice President, Regulatory and Government Affairs Debashis Saha said SpiceJet is proud to operate its maiden charter flight to Georgia carrying Indian students.
Foreign nationals
“It gives us immense joy to help students in any manner possible and this is another example of our commitment to stand beside our fellow citizens during these tough times. We will continue our efforts in helping more Indians and foreign nationals in the days to come,” said SpiceJet Vice President, Regulatory and Government Affairs Debashis Saha.
SpiceJet has played a key role in repatriating Indians and foreign nationals during these pandemic times. The airline has repatriated more than 1.6 lakh stranded Indian and foreign nationals to and from countries such as UK, Italy, Canada, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Netherlands, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Maldives, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka.
Regional player
The airline has operated more than 8200 cargo flights and transported over 60,000 tons of cargo – carrying medicines and medical equipment and fruits and vegetables to all corners of India and the world since March 25, 2020.
