Jio teams up with Qualcomm to get its first professional Esports gaming contest, ‘Call of Duty Mobile Aces Esports Challenge’, featured on JioGames platform.

“The collaboration between the two is set to bring superior gaming experiences to the gaming enthusiasts across India through multiple contests that will be organized by JioGames on the JioGames Esports platform with QCTAP as a title sponsor,” Mint quotes Jio’s statement in a release.

QCTAP will be the official title sponsor for Jio’s upcoming Esports contest on the JioGames platform, which is a great initiative to nurture India’s budding talent in the domestic Esports ecosystem. This move aims to help them hone their skillsets to compete and win International contests.

Massively popular Esports community in India, has already garnered over 400 million subcribers. This feat has inspired Jio and Qualcomm to team up with the shared vision of building India’s future on the professional gaming platform.

“Mobile gaming is one of the fastest growing segments in India. Almost 90% of the gamers in India are using their mobile as their primary device for gaming. Apart from superior graphics capabilities, today’s gamers also want fast, seamless connectivity and long-lasting battery life.” said Rajen Vagadia, vice president & president Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd.

With the rising popularity of Mobile Esports games in India, Jio has capitalised on the demand for creating bigger opportunities from the talent pool of domestic gamers with deeper collaboration and quality content creation via live-streaming platforms.

We can only hope that JioGames and Qualcomm Technologies will unite to offer unique and flawless gaming experience to the aspiring gaming professionals in the sub-continent.
